My first time EVER using Godox V860III flashes was on a REAL wedding day and you’ll be blown away by what I think!
I recently took a trip to Scotland to photograph a wedding and once I arrived I looked at Michael and said, “Oh no, where are our flashes!!??” We left them AT HOME!!! EEEK! We quickly called my sister and had her expedite our VERY expensive Canon flashes to Scotland. Well guess what?! THEY NEVER ARRIVED.
We drove to a gracious KJ Students home in Scotland and she let us borrow her Godox V860III flashes!! What a lifesaver she was! I learned so much from using these flashes I decided to do a review on them!
I am going to break down the similarities and differences of the Godox flashes vs the Canon flashes! Get ready to be wowed by the PRICE DIFFERENCE! I will share with you WHY I recommend these flashes and how they mirror the parts of Canon flashes that I find comfortable and familiar but yet takes the part of Canon that seems cumbersome.
Disclaimer: I am NOT a tech guru and I am NOT sponsored by Godox. I am giving you my honest review and I hope you enjoy!!

As a professional photographer, I’ve had the privilege of capturing countless family portraits over the years. Each session presents a unique set of challenges, from managing energetic children to finding the perfect backdrops.
As a photographer, I’ve often found myself in situations where the location seemed lackluster or uninspiring. It’s easy to get caught up in the pursuit of the perfect setting, but the reality is that we don’t always have the luxury of shooting in the most visually stunning locations.
We rescheduled this shoot with the Smith family once because of a threat of rain. It wasn’t a totally horrible forecast but if there’s one thing that I learned about Colleen when I photographed her wedding, it’s that she loves the GLOW!
What’s better than doing a family session for one KJ couple? Photographing TWO and adding in Nonna and Grandpa!
As a professional wedding photographer, I’ve encountered my fair share of editing challenges on the job.
