Maybe it was the beautiful venue… or the incredibly sweet first look…. or Emily’s dad’s ability to simultaneously scare you and crack you up with his sarcasm…. whatever it was, Friday’s beautiful Stevenson Ridge wedding was a BLAST to be a part of. David and Emily captured my heart instantly during their engagement session back in the fall and I have been looking forward to their wedding day for QUITE some time now! I remember driving to their engagement session right after leaving a meeting about possibly building the new house… CRAZY how much can happen in 6 months right?! It’s also crazy what can happen in ONE DAY! After the span of 30 minutes, David and Emily went from being engaged to promising FOREVER to one another!! Just like that, they were husband and wife and a beautiful new family was formed! The excitement on both of their faces when they were announced as Mr. and Mrs. Roop was priceless!
This day had been anticipated for a while and they finally made it! Their Stevenson Ridge wedding was the perfect venue for their family and friends to gather together. I always LOVE shooting their because it’s beautiful, the staff is amazing and the locations are so convenient! The bride can get ready in the gorgeous Riddick House and the ceremony is under the Pergola and the reception is only a few steps away!! Perfect!
David and Emily, I hope your wedding day was all that you dreamed it would be and so much more! You guys looked AWESOME and Michael and I loved being a part of your celebration! I hope you’re enjoying married life and congratulations on this exciting new phase of your relationship!! Enjoy your day through our eyes!!! xoxo
Emily’s dad took her to Kleinfelds
to pick out her dress and it was stunning! I was nervous hanging it on the chandelier!!!!Ohh don’t get me started on this bouquet!! I have to admit, I don’t normally LOVE tons of purple when it comes to florals… but this, THIS was amazing!! Amanda from
is amazing!! So thankful that we’re working together a few times this summer!
Loved the shots from David receiving his gifts from Em!
Watching a video of David opening his surprise from Emily!
Emily’s aunt must have spent MONTHS on a sewing machine! She embroidered everything!
A sweet and emotional gift for dad:)
Michael’s shot… it’s one of my favorites!
Some fist pumps from the dads:)
Smiles and tears… Wine ceremony MARRIED!! Yesssssss No idea what was said… but evidently I’m hilarious. :) Dessert bar! Not a fan of “flash” but I’m loving this classic shot of the Kate Spade flutes! They had a “Float” bar!
