She came home with a college roommate for the weekend… and like most weekend roadtrips in college, I’m sure she was just expecting to have a good time. I highly doubt that Rachel ever thought that a road trip to the eastern shore is where she would meet her future husband. Harrison and Rachel actually MET on Harrison’s grandfather’s farm in Snow Hill, MD. Several years later, they celebrated their wedding on the same property. How special is that?! What a dream!! From the old barns to the country roads without lines on the sides, I felt like I was back at home. Michael and I grew up in a very rural area and so country settings for weddings have a soft place in our hearts.
We absolutely loved how personal and welcoming their whole wedding day was! From beginning to end, you could feel the love that Harrison and Rachel have for their friends and family. There wasn’t one detail left undone and one of the best aspects of the event was the handmade bandstand and pergola over the dance floor. Harrison made all of that himself! I was so impressed! The love and hard work that went into making this family farm a wedding venue was so evident.
Michael and I loved being a part of this beautiful day! And if it wasn’t already awesome enough, we had the chance to work alongside the amazing Amber and Emily of Karson Butler Events! These girls get. stuff. done. Everything came together beautifully. From the Orange Crush specialty drink station to the first dance right at sunset, it was all so perfect. Enjoy this backyard beauty!! It may very well become a new favorite of yours!!
Loved these vintage earrings! Oh Rachel, you are beyond gorgeous…. She’s flawless! One of the BEST parts of the day…. Harrison’s gift to Rachel was a scooter!! She was SO EXCITED!! Love these tones! If this isn’t classic beauty, I don’t know what it! Stunning! The girls walked two blocks to the ceremony! Michael’s best shot of the day… how cute! Time to get married!! They’re married!!!! Rachel’s smile goes on for days… so beautiful! Who says you can’t shoot in bright sun?! :) My favorite:) I loved everything about the style of their wedding! The light!! Oh you two… so cute! These three are a dream team!! Loved working alongside of them!! In true southern fashion, they buried a bottle of bourbon for good luck and no rain before their wedding! And it worked! Last but not least… a family portrait:) Love this!!
