The skies were deceiving. They were perfectly blue and with puffy white clouds every now and then. It would have been very easy to assume that the WHOLE wedding day would look like this. A perfect 85 degrees with a slight breeze isn’t anything to complain about! However, Michael and I had seen the forecast and we were on guard. I’m BEYOND thankful that Tyler and Liz decided to see each other beforehand because we were able to accomplish ALL of their portraits before the blue skies turned dark. The ceremony began and the winds picked up but they made it through the vows, sealed their new marriage with a kiss and Liz shouted “Take cover!” as her groom led her down the aisle!! It’s a ceremony I’ll never forget
and while that wasn’t what Tyler and Liz were hoping for, they made the BEST of it! Total champs! The thing about crazy weather on wedding days is that in some weird way, they bring everyone together!! Liz and Tyler’s wedding day was amazing, not just because we dodged a massive storm but because everyone that was there was EXCITED to be there!! You could just tell! Between their MASSIVE bridal party and their friends and family, Rolling Run Farm was the PLACE TO BE last Saturday night!! I loved their venue, their willingness to risk being drenched in order get some portraits, and their love! Everyone that toasted mentioned something about their love and how well they compliment each other. They danced, ate amazing food and then waved goodbye as they drove off on a John Deere!! It was a beautiful day! I was a lucky girl and had Michael there to help me and I’m so thankful! He’s the best radar watcher EVER!!
So Liz and Tyler, congratulations! I’m actually kinda sad that this journey is over! I loved working with you too!!! xoxo
Love the southern charm of this wedding!! Oh she wasn’t the only one crying… bridesmaids had mascara everywhere as they watched her read her letter from Tyler. And Michael took these… And this… Love! Love it!!Kelly is an incredible wedding photographer who has been shooting 90 weddings a year. I know, it sounds unbelievable, but it’s true! Kelly’s success and the volume of work she handles is truly impressive.
