The Capitol went under construction so we pivoted to using the VMFA in downtown Richmond instead! Not a problem! We’re flexible! Then….
The pedestrian bridge to Belle Isle closed down the DAY of the shoot because of falling concrete! What are the chances?! So my question is, could you tell that these locations were back-up spots?! I sure can’t! I’m so proud of these two for being flexible and trusting! They are the epitome of an amazing KJ Couple and I’m thrilled that Michael and I get to be a small part of their story!!
These two work together in the wedding industry and I see so much of their hustle season in our own story. They are growing dynamic businesses and it’s fun to see a young couple pursuing what they love and thriving at it! We tend to photograph a lot of photographer’s weddings these days and it’s honestly so much fun because they get it. They get the excitement over even, clean and glowy light. They get the thrill of finding layering foregrounds. They also get what it feels like to have to come up with a new location idea on the fly when something comes up that was unexpected! I can’t WAIT for our All Access members to get to see this episode one day in the future!!
Enjoy my favorites and get excited to see these two on their wedding day!!!!
As a professional photographer, I’ve had the privilege of capturing countless family portraits over the years. Each session presents a unique set of challenges, from managing energetic children to finding the perfect backdrops.
As a photographer, I’ve often found myself in situations where the location seemed lackluster or uninspiring. It’s easy to get caught up in the pursuit of the perfect setting, but the reality is that we don’t always have the luxury of shooting in the most visually stunning locations.
We rescheduled this shoot with the Smith family once because of a threat of rain. It wasn’t a totally horrible forecast but if there’s one thing that I learned about Colleen when I photographed her wedding, it’s that she loves the GLOW!
What’s better than doing a family session for one KJ couple? Photographing TWO and adding in Nonna and Grandpa!
As a professional wedding photographer, I’ve encountered my fair share of editing challenges on the job.
Have you ever closed out of Lightroom unhappy with the end result?
