Tommy and Kayla made the drive down from Baltimore for their engagement session! They loved the look of the Richmond Capital and as soon as I saw their first outfit, I knew that this location was the right decision! It was classic and bright! You can’t tell at all that it was extremely overcast and dreamy when we were taking these photos! Tommy and Kayla came ready for anything! When the sunlight started slipping away a little earlier than we hoped because of the clouds, they worked with us moved quickly to ensure that we could fit two locations in!
They are naturals and so it didn’t take but a few minutes for them to learn the four core poses and be pros at posing! This actually ended up saving the day!! The dark skies stole some of our shooting time but because these two were so photogenic, we rolled through location one quickly and then headed down to the river with just minutes to spare before the light slowly disappeared.
Michael and I loved our time with Tommy and Kayla. They are so easy going and fun to be around. Not only were they sweet and personable but they also arrived to their session bearing GIFTS for us! If anything, I should have brought gifts for THEM! Our entire kitchen smells like the most amazing NEST candle and I’m obsessed!!! We can’t wait for their 2019 wedding. It seems so far away but I know that it will be here before we know it!
Enjoy some of my favorites from this downtown Richmond shoot and then get excited to see these two on their wedding day next summer! It’s going to be a dream!
