It’s that time again.  Time for papers to be due and midterms to be taken.  It’s time for a break! We are nowhere near the spring but spring break has started! Crazy! It’s my last spring break. Ah! That’s even crazier.

Once again, a group of us are heading up to Newark, NJ to serve at SafeHaven Urban Redemption.  We’ve been serving there for several  years and God is doing some amazing things in one of the harshest cities in the country.  Children who are abused, adults with addictions and teenagers with no hope or guidance are getting to experience the Joy that only comes from knowing the Lord.  They are realizing that they have  purpose, that they can be so much more than just another girl or guy from the projects. It’s an amazing thing to see.  In the past 3 years we have seen so many stories of redemption.  Sometimes it seems like this one week of our time really doesn’t make a huge impact in the grand scheme of the things.  How in the world could we possibly change a life or make an impact in 3 or 4 days? I don’t know, but it happens. God is good and he’s totally capable of changing lives with or without us.

So I’m excited! I can only go up for a day or two but It will be so good to see old friends!
