story is so different but yet so perfect for them. Kimberly emailed me a few weeks ago about an engagement session and as she typed her first email to me, she couldn’t help but share how Daniel proposed and how amazing he was and EXCITED SHE WAS! There were a lot of exclamation marks! Daniel is in the Air Force and because of his deployment schedule and her work schedule, they hadn’t seen each other very much lately…. and I know how hard that is. When Michael lived in North Carolina and I saw him once a month…..torture. However! I think Kimberly would agree that Daniel made up for their
time apart when he surprised at the door and dropped to one knee…. with a GORGEOUS ring! He asked her to spend the rest of her life with him and she of course agreed that that was a great idea:) She said yes and they’ll be married in 5 months!
.
Kimberly and I have some mutual friends but we had never officially met until the day of their session but let me just say……I love these two. Daniel and Kimberly are an awesome couple who couldn’t be more opposite! They’re the perfect example of what it looks like to find someone who balances you out. Michael and I are the same way. I could leave the door unlocked everyday and never think twice about it…. and Michael locks the deadbolt when he’s IN THE LIVING ROOM watching TV. We now have a happy medium of safety in our home! ha! Being complete opposites in a relationship is a great thing and after spending the afternoon with Kimberly and Daniel, I totally saw that in them. They are so excited to be married and I’m so glad I got to be a part of this process! I loved spending the evening with them on the Air Force Base…..despite a few windy moments….it was absolutely perfect weather!

Daniel and Kimberly your session was so fun and I enjoyed getting to know you two! (and Daniel’s sweet car:) Enjoy some of my favorites!
My brother is going to love this session…. JUST because there are two jets in the background.
Kimberly you’re gorgeous girl!
Ok, I don’ t know why I’ve been shooting through “trees” so much recently…. I think it’s a phase! haha I totally look like a creeper when I’m shooting these.
Awesome. awesome. awesome. Great model faces, love it!
So I didn’t have my 100mm macro with me to do a ring shot, so I used my 35 1.4 and I must say, I’m really impressed with that little lens! It helps that Kimberly’s ring was amazing!
Kelly is an incredible wedding photographer who has been shooting 90 weddings a year. I know, it sounds unbelievable, but it’s true! Kelly’s success and the volume of work she handles is truly impressive.
Your sessions should be working FOR you not against you!
Shooting in manual mode might seem complex and overwhelming at first but there is an easier way!
