One of my favorite things to experience at a wedding is watching the bride and groom really realize how much their life has just changed. Normally when this happens, there are tears and hugs and a few minutes of just being in awe of what just happened. For Tommy and Kayla, this moment happened at different moments. Kayla wiped away tears after the officiant pronounced them man and wife. Tommy’s moment was after they recessed down the aisle and embraced outside of the ceremony. His tears of joy were sweet enough to make anyone watching get emotional. They were just SO happy… and they should be.
Tommy and Kayla have waited a long time for this day and it was perfect. I know I mention the weather a lot but honestly, I can’t believe what we experienced this day, It was probably one of the most beautiful days of the entire summer. It felt like October and not the middle of August!! Amazing! Not only was the weather beautiful, this entire wedding day was stunning! I can’t wait for you to see this incredible reception!
The Dye House is an old historic mill that has been re-done into an event space. It’s one of my favorite indoor reception spaces ever! The exposed brick and cracked plaster on the walls were my favorite parts and the florals were just incredible! I loved how the velvet table linens softened the industrial vibe of the room and the bistro lighting was the perfect way to make it feel extra inviting. If you’re scrolling through this post and think “Wow, she really blogged a lot of reception details” it’s because I just couldn’t narrow down my favorites!
While this wedding was a visual dream, it was also so heartfelt and endearing. Their officiant did an amazing job sharing about their relationship and their love for one another. They are the sweetest duo. Michael and I felt so honored that we were the ones who had the opportunity to capture their day for their family and friends to remember forever!! Enjoy some of my favorite images that tell a visual story of their day!!
This is just so beautiful and I love this wedding!
