I think Michael and I have officially decided that the Charlottesville area is our favorite place to shoot! Hands down! It’s gorgeous, there is no traffic and it just never gets old! The valley is gorgeous and it’s a stunning place to get married. Mount Ida is quickly becoming a new favorite venue as well! This property is expansive and we feel so blessed that we’re able to shoot at such gorgeous venues like this! It was the perfect setting for Ryan and Alina’s big day! These two…. where do we begin. When I first met them for their engagement session MANY many months ago, I remember meeting Ryan and thinking “Oh Michael is going to LOVE this guy!”. He’s just awesome! And Alina is just as sweet as can be. She’s what any photographer would call a “dream” bride. I could have photographed their wedding over and over and over again!
I think it’s almost impossible for me to pick a “favorite” part of Ryan and Alina’s big day! It could be Ryan’s reaction to seeing Alina for the first time during their first look… or Alina’s dad’s sweet toast… or Ryan’s tears as he watched Alina come down the aisle… or their portraits on the hill top overlooking the valley! Overall, it was just an amazing day!! I loved getting to see these two again and meet their closest friends and family. Michael and I felt so honored that we were the ones that had the opportunity to document this monumental day in their lives!! Every time I heard Alina tell a guest that they picked their date around our availability, I’m sure I was blushing. I still can’t believe that we get to work with such amazing couples that care so much about their images and their photography experience. I LOVE creating beautiful portraits but the true joy of this job is getting to know the incredible people who are IN these pictures! Ryan and Alina, you are a dream couple!! We just adore you and your relationship. It’s so evident to everyone around you that you are completely smitten with each other!!! Congratulations and enjoy Fiji!!!! And enjoy this blog post!!!! xoxoxo
