for shoots isn’t always the easiest task….especially when you’re long distance. Brittani and Dustin are living in South Carolina but Britt grew up in Maryland and so they decided to make a trip home for their engagement shoot. Since Britt is a fabulous photographer (check out her cute blog!), we both knew that their location needed to be beautiful and very “them”. That’s why it’s so great to work with other photographers! They just GET stuff like that automatically! So when Brittani told me that she found a location that was owned by a friend at home, I was all for it! I was excited… just like any shoot…
shoot….but then I arrived at the gated driveway and I was just amazed!! I entered the gate code and started driving down the most beautiful driveway lined with cedar trees. This place was gorgeous! We had everything from old barns to scenic overlooks! In some ways, it was almost overwhelming because I couldn’t possibly capture EVERY beautiful area on this property! However, after an hour and a half, I think we did a marvelous job and covered a lot of ground!
So after only a few minutes of meeting them, I realized that Dustin and Britt are just great! Dustin is a good ol’ country boy and Britt is such a sweet southern girl! They compliment each other in every way and I have to say that I’m SO proud of Dustin. Country boys don’t love having to be models for almost two hours but he made it work and I SO thankful!! I can’t WAIT to see them again and photograph their beautiful wedding this fall!! So enjoy my favorites from this shoot and get excited because you’ll be seeing more of these two in September!!! woohoo!!
Oh and I didn’t mention that they brought along their incredibly well behaved pups! They gave me hope that one day Bokeh will listen to the “Come” command! Love!!!! Oh Britt! I can’t WAIT for you to be a bride in front of my camera!:) It’s going to be awesome! Dustin… so impressed my friend! Love this field! Work it!! Britt you look amazing!! wowsers! I just love you two!! Crazy puppy! We had such beautiful light!! Some friends that were a little freaked out by us… A favorite for sure!Kelly is an incredible wedding photographer who has been shooting 90 weddings a year. I know, it sounds unbelievable, but it’s true! Kelly’s success and the volume of work she handles is truly impressive.
