We have experienced a theme recently in our weddings. A lot of our couples have been together for a LONG time… and I’m not talking two years of dating… I’m talking 8 YEARS of dating! Michael and I dated for 8 years before we were married and so we understand just how big of a deal it is to FINALLY tie the knot and move on from “Fiance” to “HUSBAND”! It’s exciting and everyone that has known you for those 8 years is JUST as excited as you are because they have seen this day coming for LONG time! Tj and Sara dated for 8 years and finally made it official this past saturday at the beautiful Main Street Station in downtown Richmond. I overheard one of her bridesmaids saying “This is it! Today is YOUR wedding at Main Street Station!!”. It seemed as if Sara was about to experience the day she had been dreaming of since she was young! It was perfect.
The skies opened up just in time and the Capital of Richmond never looked so prestigious! We shot their portraits and then headed to the station to prepare for the ceremony! It was stunning. I’ve seen Main Street Station on several occasions but I’ve NEVER seen it set up for a wedding before!! As soon as I climbed the stairs I knew why this was Sara’s dream location. Beautiful!! Friends and family filled the room while TJ and Sara committed to forever and before I knew it, it was time for the dance party to begin! And let me tell you… they had a DANCE PARTY! Their guests had a blast and as the night ended and they exited to their trolley for the after party, we hugged them and thanked them for allowing us to capture their wedding day!! What an honor! I can’t wait to share their day with you! Enjoy the post and to TJ and Sara, congrats friends!! I hope the honeymoon is amazing!!!
Absolutely love it when I have “accent” pieces to use when styling the details! Sara made sure to leave a few extra peonies and I was in heaven! Loved her shoes and bouquet!! Ps. The girls MADE their bouquets! Crazy right?! There were a few tears in the morning:) … Happy tears of course! gorgeous! Sara you’re beautiful!!! First look at the capital! (These are Michael’s shots… I have to give him credit for his “epic” ones or I’ll hear about it later! :) Michael’s! He’s pretty good don’t ya think? :) Michael’s angle….Love this!Such a beautiful bridal party!!
Sara’s southern style was so perfect! Loved the patterns!
These guys are awesome! It was HOT and they still stood in the bright sun for me! Something about these feels like Charleston!! :) A favorite! Main Street Station is a beautiful venue!! Married!!! You should have see me yelling at them from the road for these shots! ha! I’m sure the people passing me thought I was crazy! AHH!!! So lovely!! YAY!!! Credits coming!!
Oh where do I begin? This wasn’t just another wedding for me. This was a legacy KJ Wedding and I have been looking forward to it ever since my first email from Danny and Megan!
I’m really excited about this YouTube video because I know that it resonates with ALL photographers who photograph PEOPLE!!
Have you ever walked into a client experience and realized “oh wow, this is not what I was expecting?” ….
