The word used to describe this couple throughout their whole wedding day was “light”. The priest at Brandon and Lisa’s ceremony shared with the congregation that by only meeting with this couples on a couple of occasions, he could tell that they were a couple full of LIGHT. They are leaders and they share an amazing joy with anyone and everyone that comes into their life. I felt this joy the first time I met Lisa. She’s just magnetic. You meet her and you love her. It’s as simple as that. Brandon is the same way. Before the big day, so many people mentioned to me that they knew this sweet couple. Now granted, most of those people were JMU grads but still. Brandon and Lisa are two people created to lead
and bring the light to everyone around them. Their wedding day was full of laughter, anything Duke related and lots of love! I mentioned on Ken and Jessica’s post that this past weekend was definitely a JMU wedding weekend. I should have known that the couple that had Duke Dog in their engagement portraits would also have him show up at their wedding reception! And that’s not it, the groom’s cake was an exact replica of Wilson Hall, where Brandon proposed with their golden retriever puppy Tucker. I think Tucker could very possibly be more loved than Brandon and Lisa! He’s definitely a part of the family! He joined us for some portraits later in the evening. He came dressed to impress with his navy and white polka dot bow tie.
Lisa thought of everything. From her grandpa’s WWII uniform buttons on her bouquet to using her a part of her grandma’s wedding dress for the ring bearer pillow, she didn’t miss a thing. Everything was beautiful!! I have been looking forward to this wedding for while. Not because I knew Lisa would be wearing adorable striped Jcrew flats or because I just knew her bouquet from Anthomanic would be incredible… no, I was excited about this wedding because I genuinely adore being around these two!!
So Brandon and Lisa, I hope the honeymoon is amazing and I can’t WAIT for you to return and see your wedding post!! Ps. a HUGE thanks to Jill who helped me out this weekend! I couldn’t have done it without her!!!
I spent the morning with the girls shooting details and getting ready. LOVED Lisa’s details! And while I was hanging out with the girls, Jill was with the boys downtown. Looking sharp Brandon!! Lisa told me everything would be monogrammed…. everything. And it was! ah!!!Lisa you’re gorgeous!! First Look! Tears started before they even saw each other!A year ago, we promised to find a solution for those who were complaining about their R6 raw files looking dull and lifeless in Lightroom. However, due to various circumstances, we couldn’t deliver on that promise until now.
Kelly is an incredible wedding photographer who has been shooting 90 weddings a year. I know, it sounds unbelievable, but it’s true! Kelly’s success and the volume of work she handles is truly impressive.
Your sessions should be working FOR you not against you!
