There are a few Virginia venues that I still have on my photography bucket list! I’m excited that I was able to cross the beautiful Keswick Vineyard off of that list this past Saturday! Michael and I had the honor of capturing Blake and Rita’s wedding day in the rolling hills outside of Charlottesville, VA this past weekend. I’ve wanted to shoot at this stunning location for quite some time and let me tell you, it more than lived up to its’ reputation! Keswick is just stunning…. and it’s also very quaint and relaxing. It’s off the beaten path and the property is full of incredible locations for photos. I could have shot Blake and Rita’s portraits for HOURS at this venue but I refrained because it was definitely a toasty July day. Thankfully we had overcast skies and only a little snippet of rainfall towards the end of the ceremony! The BEST part about the rain was that it left behind some amazing clouds for us to use!!
Blake and Rita’s day couldn’t have been more perfect and it was so much fun for Michael and I to work with our good friends Anna and Richard! AND, to make this day EVEN better, my dad officiated the ceremony!! Now I know I’m biased but he’s my favorite pastor to have at a ceremony. It’s just fun having him there!! Rita grew up in the small town of Bowling Green where Michael and I grew up and so there were MANY familiar faces from our childhood. It was such an honor to be a part of this celebration and let me tell you, it was a celebration! From the moment I arrived as Keswick, there was a happy atmosphere in the air! Everyone was excited for these two to tie the knot!! From the daddy/daughter first look to the heartfelt toasts and parent dances, I got teary eyed a few times and that’s a tell-tale sign that it was an amazing day!! :) I cannot WAIT to show you Blake and Rita’s Keswick wedding through our eyes!! Enjoy!!
