As you can probably tell… this post has two parts. This isn’t just because I loved ALL of their images, it’s because Justin and Lori opted for a “Day After” session and we had unlimited time and possibilities! Actually, part of that is a lie. This wasn’t a “day after” session…it was more like a “year after” session! That’s right! Justin and Lori were married LAST YEAR! However, because of weather and lack of time, they didn’t end up with the classic, candid wedding pictures they were hoping for. So we talked and decided that they should do a Day After session and have some “wall worthy” images of the two of them.
A day after session is something I would recommend to ANY COUPLE! Even if I photograph your wedding day, having a day after session is SO WORTH IT! Not only did Justin and Lori have unlimited time, they had no reason not to sit on the ground or lay in the grass! The possibilities were endless and so were the locations! They very patiently followed me to NUMEROUS locations. It was awesome and guess what…they have a TON of awesome pictures because of it! I can’t wait for you to see part two!
If you are a couple interested in booking a Day After session here are some other reasons why it would be a great decision!
1. unlimited time, location, possibilities
2. no pressure to “stay pretty” before the reception
3. your “Day After” session can be anytime! Make it the day after, a month after… even a year after!!
4. your session will result in 10x more “wall worthy” portraits of the two of you than you received on your wedding day!
5. I get to spend more time with you!!! (I get a little too excited about portraits but it’s ok, most couples seem to embrace it and roll with it!) haha
Some would say that a year after your big day is just too long to wait and that it’s too much trouble. However, if you don’t have any images that make you want to fall in love and get married all over again…I’d say it’s worth it to give it a shot. Enjoy!
I love Lori’s laugh…there’s nothing posed about that one!
I know what you’re thinking, “Dang Katelyn, how do you always luck out with such gorgeous couples?!”…well I don’t know, but I love them! I’m a lucky girl!
One of my FAVORITES! I don’t know why…it’s almost got a hint of “retro” in there somewhere! Ah! love it!
Kelly is an incredible wedding photographer who has been shooting 90 weddings a year. I know, it sounds unbelievable, but it’s true! Kelly’s success and the volume of work she handles is truly impressive.
