This day was one for the record books. It was the first time we had photographed anything at the beautiful Ivy Rose Barn and let me tell you, it’s a dream! It was also the first time that I was able to meet Sharon and Turner in person!! This is SO rare for me!! Normally we’ve already met our KJ Couples beforehand but thanks to the pandemic, we never had a chance to!
So, I walked into this day without knowing much about Sharon and Turner’s personalities. I knew Sharon was a planner, had big ideas and was SO excited to be getting married! I also knew that Turner was a Firefighter, that he was kind and that Sharon thought the world of him. What I found when I arrived at the venue was that Turner and Sharon win the award for having the largest group of best friends. They are so loved and adored by their people and it made their day full and so incredibly joyful. They had a massive bridal party and I smiled as I watched Turner cry and hug every single one of his groomsmen as they passed him on their way down the aisle. Deep friendship is a beautiful thing and I saw that shining between Turner and Sharon and their friends. I also got to experience the friendship between Turner and Sharon. Turner gave Sharon a book of memories and notes he had saved throughout their relationship and she just bawled when she opened it. Tears and emotions started flowing at the beginning of the day and they kept coming! It was a stunning day at the brand new Ivy Rose Barn and I can’t wait for you to see their day through our eyes!!! Enjoy scrolling and getting to know this sweet KJ Couple who now have a piece of our hearts!!!

As a professional photographer, I’ve had the privilege of capturing countless family portraits over the years. Each session presents a unique set of challenges, from managing energetic children to finding the perfect backdrops.
As a photographer, I’ve often found myself in situations where the location seemed lackluster or uninspiring. It’s easy to get caught up in the pursuit of the perfect setting, but the reality is that we don’t always have the luxury of shooting in the most visually stunning locations.
We rescheduled this shoot with the Smith family once because of a threat of rain. It wasn’t a totally horrible forecast but if there’s one thing that I learned about Colleen when I photographed her wedding, it’s that she loves the GLOW!
What’s better than doing a family session for one KJ couple? Photographing TWO and adding in Nonna and Grandpa!
As a professional wedding photographer, I’ve encountered my fair share of editing challenges on the job.
Have you ever closed out of Lightroom unhappy with the end result?
