This day has been in the works for YEARS. I can’t count how many times I heard “It’s finally here!!!” said on Ryan and Megan’s wedding day! All of their friends and family knew just how important this milestone was for the two of them. After years and years of dating, they were finally going to be husband and wife!! Michael and I traveled down to Winston Salem, NC late Friday night to be ready for Ryan and Megan’s big day on Saturday. Old Town Winston Salem is now one of my new favorite NC shooting locations! It’s seriously like a clone of Williamsburg!! Historic homes, old fences and barns… what more could a photographer want?! Oh! And this awesome historic area was only a two minute walk from the reception venue!! I could have photographed them for hours!!
It was a perfect scenario! The rain held off and the clouds rolled in just enough to give us some relief from the heat and humidity! Ryan and Megan decided to share a first look on the historic bridge where we just shot their engagement pictures a few months prior! It was a perfect place to begin their day together!!
As the day went on and I heard toasts and conversations take place, it was very clear that everyone had known for a very long time that Ryan and Megan would reach this day. They are a perfect pair and we couldn’t be more excited for them and this new adventure!! I’m so excited to share some of my favorites from the day!! I hope you all like RED because there is a lot of it on the blog today! Enjoy this Winston Salem wedding and congratulations to the newlyweds!!!!! xoxo
It’s moments like these that make me fall even more in love with my macro lens! Girls just wanna have fun! This little gal entertained us all morning! Wanna hear something that will make you totally jealous? …. Those are Megan’s real eyelashes! AMAZING right?! I’m so jealous!!! Megan you’re stunning!! First look time! After the first look is the perfect time to begin portraits of just the two of them… it’s one of my favorite parts of the day!Kelly is an incredible wedding photographer who has been shooting 90 weddings a year. I know, it sounds unbelievable, but it’s true! Kelly’s success and the volume of work she handles is truly impressive.
