Gosh. Where do I start? Seriously, thinking about how to write this post stresses me out because I could write pages and pages. This wasn’t just another wedding, this was Kel’s wedding. My roommate, my friend, my sister…..how can I possibly describe my emotions of the day in a few paragraphs? It’s an impossible task. Adam and Kelley are my first REALLY close friends to be married and I was so emotional! Just watching Kel’s mom put her veil on made me choke up. It didn’t help that ALL of my roommates were bridesmaids and we have all been anticipating this day for so long. We’ve watched and helped Kelley plan and prepare and now it was finally here! As we sat and waited with Kelley right before the ceremony started, it hit me. She’s about to be a WIFE! Kelley’s name is changing in approximately 5.5 minutes and she’s going to have a HUSBAND! Our college years are over and this is the next phase of life! …. the tears started flowing. I have never had such an overwhelming feeling of joy and sadness at the same time. I was sad to officially except that we’re done as roommates and that that phase of our lives is over but so joyful that Kelley was marrying her best friend!
.
I couldn’t be happier for the two of them and it was such a privilege to be their photographer AND a bridesmaid! I’ll admit that was a little stressful but I made it! Filling both roles had me running like a crazy woman but I was honored to do it. The wonderful Jill Taylor saved the day and shot the ceremony for me! She did a fabulous job and I can’t wait to show you a few shots! …… or 40 shots…. maybe 50 shots?! I really need to get this selecting images disorder under control, But hey! It’s my roommate’s wedding and I’m going to post how every many I want! Are you cool with that? Ok!
.
Adam and Kel, I adore you. I’m impressed by your love for one another and I’m going to miss the smell of you two making stir fry ALL the time:) You are an amazing couple and I’m praying for your new marriage and life together! Congratulations!!!!! xoxo
Get this… Kel mentioned that she hadn’t done her makeup when I was shooting all of these… and this next image is proof that if she got married with no makeup at all, she would still be absolutely stunning!
