This was one of those emails that I had to read twice. The Southern Weddings gals emailed me in the spring of last year and asked if I wanted to take their team photos. WHAT?! Me?! Oh my gosh! YESSS! My answer is YES! I was so honored! Michael and I drove down to Chapel Hill back in April and absolutely loved our time with these amazing women. Their love for their work and for one another is incredible.
How one group of women, co-workers, creatives and influencers can be so equally genuine and gorgeous just baffles me! These sweet friends move mountains every year creating Southern Weddings Magazine. V8 is probably my favorite issue yet! Not only are the shoots stunning but BOKEH MADE IT INTO AN ARTICLE!!! Our little fluffy fur baby has officially had his first debut in a wedding magazine and I may have squealed! Not only did Bokeh Boy get a sweet little feature on Page 269, you can also see some KJ images on page 275, 252, 7,8,9 and 25!! Ah! What a fun surprise!!
Southern Weddings Gals: Thank you for trusting us with your portraits! Our time with you was a highlight of our YEAR!! We love and respect you so much!!!
We loved celebrating with all of the SW family in Chapel Hill this past Thursday evening. It’s always a fast trip! Buddy and Jill drove down with us. 3 hours down, 3 hours back. It was a whirlwind trip but we made great memories and we never regret our time with these amazing people!!!
Here’s a little peek of a few of my favorite pages of V8! AND I’m sharing some of my favorite images from our shoot together!!

I had the pleasure of chatting with Erica and Jon, two incredibly talented photographers and educators who have redefined their business and life by embracing change. From leaving a corporate career to transforming their wedding photography business into a thriving brand photography venture, their story is full of inspiration for anyone looking to take bold steps and live life on their own terms.
I run a Facebook group with over 20,000 photographers, and something I see constantly are people sharing their editing struggles, asking for critiques, or seeking advice on how to fix issues in Lightroom.
This is going to go down as the wedding day were we got lucky over and over again. Blair and Ashley heard that there was a chance of rain on their wedding day but we all wrote it off as nothing and kept moving on with all of our original plans.
