Normally shoots in the dead of winter raise a few red flags for us. 1. It could be FREEZING!!! 2. There is a lack of color and 3. It can sometimes be really windy and miserable outside!!! So when Bri and Branden told me that they were going to be flying back home from Texas during the Christmas holiday, these thoughts did cross my mind. However, I knew that this was the best chance at making this shoot happen, and so we just needed to hope for the best!
Well, we got the absolute BEST case scenario for their engagement session! It was gorgeous! It was 65 degrees, barely any wind, and the light was just amazing!!! Some winter days are dreary and overcast, but not this past Tuesday! It was the perfect setting for an engagement session!!!
Michael and I drove out through the mountains and arrived in Historic downtown Lynchburg around 2pm for their session. As soon as we met them, we knew that this was going to be an easy shoot. Their personalities and their smiles make it easy to instantly fall in love with them. We walked STRAIGHT UP some of the city streets to capture some old architecture and classic buildings! Lynchburg isn’t called the “City of Seven Hills” for no reason!! Whew! It was worth all of the effort because we found gorgeous light and beautiful backdrops! We ended their session down on the river, and I was sad to have to say goodbye because we won’t see them again until September!!!!
This was our last shoot of 2017 and I have to say, it was a perfect way to end the year! We are SO thankful for our amazing KJ Couples that we get the privilege to work with every year!!!! Enjoy some of my favorites!!
Kelly is an incredible wedding photographer who has been shooting 90 weddings a year. I know, it sounds unbelievable, but it’s true! Kelly’s success and the volume of work she handles is truly impressive.
