The options were shooting in Deltaville on a beach that Scott and Jessica had found during a jet ski adventure one day OR shooting in Richmond. Now don’t get me wrong, I LOVE Richmond… but we also love having the opportunity to photograph in a new location every now and then! I’ve never photographed an engagement session on the beaches of Deltaville and so we were excited to explore and shoot something new!
Michael and I met Scott and Jessica at the beach last week for their engagement shoot and it felt like it was SEPTEMBER! This warm weather has been amazing for our shoots recently!! We walked on the beaches and it wasn’t too chilly and no one else was there! We had the place to ourselves! As we walked around the corner of the shore, we found a fun cove, tall grasses, and old driftwood stumps! The light was gorgeous and Scott and Jessica were instant pros. We loved this sweet time together and it went by way too quickly!!
What I loved most about this shoot was the fact that Scott’s family is from this area and so these beaches, the marina and the dock mean something to them! These two have been together longer than Michael and I had been together when we were getting married and so it makes perfect sense why they would put so much thought into making sure their engagement session was perfect!! Scott and Jessica are getting married next year and we can’t wait to celebrate with them!! Enjoy my FAVORITES from our time together!
You two are such pros!!

Oh where do I begin? This wasn’t just another wedding for me. This was a legacy KJ Wedding and I have been looking forward to it ever since my first email from Danny and Megan!
I’m really excited about this YouTube video because I know that it resonates with ALL photographers who photograph PEOPLE!!
Have you ever walked into a client experience and realized “oh wow, this is not what I was expecting?” ….
