Today we celebrated Daddy’s 20th anniversary at our church! He has pastored Salem Baptist Church since I was 16 months old! Crazy huh! This isn’t a common occurrence for most churches. 20 years is quite a long time for a pastor to serve. However, there is no doubt in any one’s mind that this is where our good God has called Daddy to serve for the last 2 decades. His heart and his passion for loving the Lord’s people was so apparent today as we listened to so many testimony’s from the different lives he has touched.
Today was truly a time of celebration and rejoicing. Praise God for everything he has done! It’s incredible to look back at pictures and videos from 15 years ago and realize just how deeply rooted our friendships are here. We have been SO blessed with our friends and church family.
I am so thankful for the last 20 years. I’m thankful for a beautiful church family, for dear sweet friends that I have known and literally loved my whole life. I’m thankful for a chance to come together and praise God for what He has done and most of all, I am thankful for my daddy. He is a good man. He’s a leader, a servant, a nurturer, a provider, a friend…. and the list could go on and on. But I especially thank him for being a man of integrity. Daddy lives it. He’s the real deal and I am so so lucky to be his daughter and to have his example to learn from. I love him and I am so proud of him. Thank you Jesus for an awesome day and congratulations Daddy!
