I’ve known Amy since we were little girls. Our parents were friends from college and so we have family vacation memories from our childhood that span from Myrtle Beach to Maine!! However, like many families, life was busy as all of the kids got older and we didn’t see each other as much. Fast forward to my last couple of years at college and Amy was coming to CNU! We met up a few times and we would pass each other on campus. I was at the very beginning of my business and so if you had told me back then that I would be shooting Amy’s wedding a decade later, I wouldn’t have believed you!! But that’s exactly what happened!
Amy followed my business for years and when it was her turn to get married, she emailed me! We photographed their engagement session on a gorgeous sailboat back in June and before we knew it, it was November and the wedding was right around the corner!!! I loved this day because not only did we have a connection to the couple, my parents attended this wedding!! There’s something so fun about looking out into the crowd and seeing familiar faces!
Ryan and Amy’s day didn’t feel like a mid-November wedding day. The temperature was perfect and the sun was out in full force! There wasn’t a cloud in the sky! We managed to find a few trees who were still clinging to their leaves and it created a beautiful, warm glow to all of their images. This is our final wedding of our 2018 wedding season and it’s hard to believe that we’re preparing for Thanksgiving already! Ryan and Amy, I hope you find some amazing turkey down in Costa Rica on your honeymoon!!! Your wedding day was beautiful and so full of love!! It was an honor to capture it all!!!
