have driven through the mountains so many times over the past three years since I started this business. We pass by rolling hills and amazing scenery and I ALWAYS make a comment like “Ohh I wish I had a bride up on that hill!”. Some spots just seem so perfect for portraits and yet I have to drive right past them, only hoping to have a bride and groom willing to walk up and shoot on the top of a perfect hill one day. Well, last week, my dream came true! Molly and her husband Travis got back into their wedding attire after being married for a few years and having TWO KIDS! Aren’t they awesome?!
They had to get a babysitter and everything! But let me just tell you, it was well worth it! Molly mentioned that we were going to drive up the hill and she thought that I would like the view from up there. Um, YES!! Yes yes yes! We got out of the car and Michael whispered “This is your “Bride on a Hill” moment.” I was so excited! Not only did we have rolling hills but we had some crazy intense light going on! The storm clouds were still in the background and the glowy evening light was peaking through the clouds on the horizon. It was a photographer’s dream! Not only was the lighting and location awesome… but have you seen this couple?! If you missed their family session post, you can view it HERE. Seriously, these two are beautiful. If I look half as awesome as Molly does after having two kids, I’ll be thrilled! It was such an honor to spend some time with Travis and Molly and give them a chance to feel like newlyweds again. We stayed on top of that little mountain for about 40 minutes and re-captured the love that they shared on their wedding day. SO MUCH FUN! Wedding pictures are a BIG deal and I’m so glad Molly emailed me and asked to do this session. It makes me want to get back into OUR wedding attire and do a session, just for fun!! Why not?!!
So Molly and Travis, Michael and I loved meeting you two and your adorable kids. What a beautiful family you have!! I hope you LOVE your images and I’m so honored that I was able to be a part of this experience!!! Enjoy my favorites!!
Molly you are gorgeous girl! If you ever get tired of photography…. modeling would definitely be an option:)
This light only looks like this in the mountains! I’m obsessed with it!
Oh where do I begin? This wasn’t just another wedding for me. This was a legacy KJ Wedding and I have been looking forward to it ever since my first email from Danny and Megan!
I’m really excited about this YouTube video because I know that it resonates with ALL photographers who photograph PEOPLE!!
Have you ever walked into a client experience and realized “oh wow, this is not what I was expecting?” ….
