It has been been over 2 YEARS since I switched to the R6 and totally shifted to mirrorless!!
The amount of photographers who have switched over because of our youtube series on the R6 is mind-blowing and we get SO many questions about this camera!!
I get it, it’s a BIG shift!! It reminds me of the shift from the Canon Mark III to the Canon Mark IV! Some photographers are immediately in love while it takes others some time to get used to this new system.
This has not been an issue for me! I have blown up canvases for clients and haven’t had any issues.. But if you’re making an image into a billboard, this might be something to consider!
I see this question in KJ Education, and it’s typically when the photographer has zoomed in to 800% to show the noise that they’re talking about! No one is blowing up an image to print it that big for a family print, and this is normal with most cameras!
I have heard several people say this and I wish I had the answer for you!! I have not experienced this but I want you to submit your RAW files HERE so that I can see what is different and then I’ll make another video and let you know what I’ve found!!
Hands down- focus! My approach to focus has changed completely, no more focusing and recomposing.
If you want to hear more of my answers to these questions and others head to Youtube to watch the full video!

As a professional photographer, I’ve had the privilege of capturing countless family portraits over the years. Each session presents a unique set of challenges, from managing energetic children to finding the perfect backdrops.
As a photographer, I’ve often found myself in situations where the location seemed lackluster or uninspiring. It’s easy to get caught up in the pursuit of the perfect setting, but the reality is that we don’t always have the luxury of shooting in the most visually stunning locations.
We rescheduled this shoot with the Smith family once because of a threat of rain. It wasn’t a totally horrible forecast but if there’s one thing that I learned about Colleen when I photographed her wedding, it’s that she loves the GLOW!
What’s better than doing a family session for one KJ couple? Photographing TWO and adding in Nonna and Grandpa!
As a professional wedding photographer, I’ve encountered my fair share of editing challenges on the job.
Have you ever closed out of Lightroom unhappy with the end result?
