So this is how it happened. Two girls meet at 18 months old. One (the blond) decides that she doesn’t particularly care for her new nursery buddy (the redhead) and she BITES her repeatedly! Yes, that is how we met! That was the start of our crazy/priceless/amazing friendship of 20 years! (give or take a few months:) Caroline and I grew up together, learned how to Rollerblade backwards together, made “music videos” in the backyard together, went through the dreadfully awkward years of middle school together, cried together, laughed together and have literally seen the world together!
This girl IS my sister and I cherish her.
Now that Caroline and I are both in our twenties (barely in our twenties, but we sound so old and mature when I say it like that!), we have found ourselves in a state of amazement. We can look back at the our past and recall stories from all different periods of time. Some seem like they were lifetimes ago! But yet we can lay under the covers talking til 2am and it feels like nothing has changed and no time has slipped away from us. We go to different colleges on opposite sides of the state and we’re both incredibly busy and overcommitted most of the time. This Christmas break we both had an idea of going away somewhere, overnight, just us! We knew we would have to MAKE it happen and I’m so thankful we did!
We could have spent a little $$ and gone to some cute place in the mountains or at the beach but why would we do that when we have the Terry Family “Crink House”! We decided to drive down to Matthews County, VA and stay in her family’s house on the “Crink”. I’m not exactly sure who coined the name “Crink” house but I’m pretty sure that name was the result of the youngest member of her family trying to pronounce the word “Creek”. It’s been the “Crink” House ever since and I love it down there. It’s right on the water and we had nothing to do but hang out with each other and the Lord and it was awesome! I’m so thankful for a time to just get away and get catch up with my dearest friend. Caroline, thank you and I love you! Thanks for letting me snap away all afternoon! (You know I just can’t help it!)
Enjoy!
Oh Caroline.
My favorite of the day!
The best part about being in the middle of nowhere is that no one is around to see you! So why shower and do hair, makeup etc.?! Well, no one sees you unless you take pics all day and post them on the World Wide Web! Sorry about the hair-do!
Kelly is an incredible wedding photographer who has been shooting 90 weddings a year. I know, it sounds unbelievable, but it’s true! Kelly’s success and the volume of work she handles is truly impressive.
Your sessions should be working FOR you not against you!
