Every bride worries about a rainy wedding day. It’s just a natural fear. But what most brides CAN’T do is just shake it off when that fear becomes a reality. It was raining on Friday for Matt and Sara’s wedding and when I arrived, I asked Sara has she was feeling. Her response was this “I mean, I can’t change it!”. So true. So she went on with her wedding day as if the skies were blue and filled with white puffy clouds. I’m so thankful for that because great attitudes MAKE a wedding day. The bridal party, the familes, EVERYONE was excited about this day that had been anticipated for SO long and a little bit of drizzly rain wasn’t going to steal their joy!
Matt and Sara have been waiting for this day for so long and it was finally here! Everywhere I turned there was a touch a blue and yellow with a sunflower always in sight. We shot their first look and bridal party portraits on Sara’s neighbor’s porch and I have NEVER been so thankful for a wrap around porch in my entire life! It truly saved the day! After the ceremony, much to our surprise, we had CLEAR SKIES…. just in time for the Bentley to roll in. YES. See what I mean? Happy attitudes can turn a day around!!
Everything was wonderful! We were able to capture some more portraits after the ceremony and I was thrilled that the storm held up for us! The party began and it’s a good thing I was running around working because if I was a guest I would have gained ten pounds at this wedding between the amazing food and the cookie bar!! Matt and Sara had an amazing wedding day and I was so honored to be a part of it! Enjoy some of my favorites and leave them some love!!
