was a big weekend for us and our church family. Every year we have our annual Jazz Nativity and it’s honestly the highlight of our Christmas season! Our families get together, our friends come in for the show and it feels like the Christmas season has officially begun! This year was probably my favorite. This was my 3rd year performing and I had a blast. Right before I go on stage I always get nervous and think to myself “Why do I do this to myself?!! Why?!!” I do the same thing before I speak at conferences too! Right before I do something stressful that involves a “performance” of any kind, I wonder why I put myself in these situations.
Life would be a lot easier if I never had to worry about doing a good job with my singing and speaking. However, these are the things that are the most rewarding once they are accomplished! Every time I walked off of the stage, I was thankful that I had the opportunity to sing! I love to sing and I am so thankful that I had a VOICE all weekend!! If you remember from this post, I have nodules on my vocal chords and so there are seasons throughout the year when it’s hard for me to sing. Thankfully, my voice was GREAT shape for Jazz Nativity!! That’s quite a big WIN for me!!!! I don’t have a full video but if you really want to hear a little bit, there was a little video posted on Youtube… don’t judge. It was live…which means it’s not perfect… but it’s fun to watch! :)
So enjoy some of these images!! I hope you can see just how much FUN we have with this!! We’re so blessed to be a part of such an amazing church family!! If you haven’t been before and you’re close by, you HAVE to join us next year!!! Over 2,000 people joined us at our 5 shows this year and we’re anticipating more shows in the future!! A HUGE thanks to EVERYONE involved both on and off stage!!!!
Kelly is an incredible wedding photographer who has been shooting 90 weddings a year. I know, it sounds unbelievable, but it’s true! Kelly’s success and the volume of work she handles is truly impressive.
