my CAMERA!!!! Can you believe it? I forgot camera on one of the most exciting days in my brother’s life! I guess I just wasn’t thinking straight! I didn’t realize how big of a deal this was! My brother, who is only 16 and in high school, has been training and studying to get his pilot’s license. When most kids are playing video games on Saturday morning, Corey is up at the crack of dawn heading to his flying lesson. Not only does he have lessons, he also has to keep up with his Ground School work. Getting your pilot’s license isn’t easy!! At all! In fact, it’s not for everyone. For instance, yours truly could NEVER fly an airplane. I would either get so nervous that I would scream and
freakout…. or I would be so excited to see the view from the clouds that I would forget to keep driving…. or flying.. whatever. Corey is the perfect person to aspire to be a Pilot and I am SO SO SO incredibly proud of him.
.
So last Monday, Michael and I got a call that Corey had passed his flight test and was going to SOLO for the first time…. ever. This is HUGE. It means Corey was going to be in an airplane without ANY instructor and he was going to fly… SOLO. CRAZY! We all stood there quietly as he drove the plane down the runway and prepared for take off. Momma started saying “ohhhh gosh, ohh gosh” and I immediately started hating myself for FORGETTING my camera!!! Corey took off and landed perfectly. It was awesome!!! Everything in me wanted to start doing random cheers as if I was standing on the sidelines of a high school football game! I was so proud and excited for him!!!!! Luckily, our family friend, Frank has his fancy phone and was able to capture the moment! Thanks Frank!!!! So, I am once again, a VERY proud sister!! Have a GREAT tuesday night and get excited for Wedding Wednesday tomorrow!

oh and ps. evidently when you solo for the first time, the tradition is to cut the back of your shirt off and write the plane # and stuff on it! (I don’t really understand what it symbolizes but it was fun to watch them cut up Corey’s new $35 shirt! haha Momma was so excited she didn’t even care)
A year ago, we promised to find a solution for those who were complaining about their R6 raw files looking dull and lifeless in Lightroom. However, due to various circumstances, we couldn’t deliver on that promise until now.
Kelly is an incredible wedding photographer who has been shooting 90 weddings a year. I know, it sounds unbelievable, but it’s true! Kelly’s success and the volume of work she handles is truly impressive.
Your sessions should be working FOR you not against you!
