All of this, plus the fact that life just gets LOUD at the Holidays. The calendar fills up fast and I can feel the overwhelm creeping in.
That is why I am clinging to one simple Advent tradition that has become the anchor of our December.
The GoodKind Advent Blocks Traditions Set
A few years ago, I realized I cannot keep up with a million Christmas traditions.
With kids and work and everything happening in real life, I needed one thing we could do consistently.
One rhythm that would keep us grounded in what Christmas is actually about.
That is where the GoodKind Advent Blocks Traditions Set has totally changed the way we do December!
And if you want to try them for your family, you can use my code KATELYN15 for 15 percent off your order.

How the Advent Blocks work
Every night after dinner we sit down together and read the devotional for that day.
Right now Evy is actually the one who reads the page for the day! She takes this very seriously and I’ve found the kids listen to her way more than if Michael or I were to read this aloud!
Then one of the kids gets to turn a block and line it up with the rest.
Over time, the blocks spell out a phrase. I will not spoil it because the reveal is part of what makes this tradition so special!!
This tradition has become so simple and sustainable for us!
And it centers our family on Jesus in a way that feels doable, even when everything else feels chaotic.

Why I love the GoodKind Advent Blocks
What surprised me most is how much my kids remember this!!
Last year Rhett had just turned four. He was so little, and I honestly did not know how much he was absorbing.
But this year, even before our decorations were fully up, he keeps coming to me saying, “We need to do our story blocks, mama!”
Kids might not remember every present they open.
But they remember the rhythms that make them feel safe and connected. They remember what we return to night after night. They remember what we honor as a family.
And I want them to remember that Christmas is not just about what we get.
It is about WHO we celebrate!

If you want a meaningful Advent tradition with your kids
Even if you are already a week or two into December, it is still worth starting this tradition!
Plus you will have these for years to come!!!
This is the kind of tradition that grows into a legacy.

As always, I only share what I actually use and love in our home!
These blocks have helped me trade pressure for peace, and they have given our kids a core memory that points them back to the real reason for the season.
