Sample Birth Plan: Infant Loss/Stillbirth

This is a sample birth plan for parents who are living through the unimaginable pain of preparing for a stillbirth or infant loss soon after birth.

This plan was used for our son James Michael’s birth. He was born on May 1st, 2018 and went to be with his savior the same day. He suffered from severe hydrops and other complications from Down Syndrome. This birth plan allowed us to go into what would normally be a terrifying day with some type of expectation. We hope that this plan will be a helpful resource as you continue on this hard journey.
