BABY JAMES
To really know our family, there’s someone incredibly special who isn’t pictured throughout my site—but he’s still a big part of our lives and our story.
When Evy was just 8 months old, we were shocked (in the best way!) to find out I was pregnant again. But at our 20-week ultrasound, we got news no parent is ever prepared for: our baby boy had severe complications from Down Syndrome, and we were told he likely wouldn’t survive.
Much to the doctor’s surprised, he lived for 3 months inside of me. He passed away during birth at 31 weeks on May 1st, 2018. We met him and said goodbye at the same time. Carrying a baby with a fatal diagnosis changed us forever and has impacted thousands of lives.
If you'd like to know more about our journey and the little boy who made us parents of a child in heaven, you can read more here.
