a small school.  I never liked to admit that until my junior or senior year. I always thought the “big school” concept was “cooler”.  Michael and I lived our “Big school” experiences through Tech football games and weekends spent with friends at Clemson.  CNU doesn’t have a huge sports program or a massive stadium with thousands of fans… but what it does have is an awesome community.  I feel like I was a part of so many little communities at CNU… one being the “Comm” community. That’s right, the Communication Majors were tight…. we pretty much brought TWITTER to CNU! …. in my opinion. ha! No. Big. Deal. Anyway! Why am I telling you all of this? Well, because I met Connie in through the comm department!

the wedding industry is so inspiring sometimes! I LOVE LOVE LOVE getting my issue of Southern Weddings and being inspired by awesome, new and unique ideas. One part of wedding planning that most brides don’t think about are the little things… like accents.  You may have a GREAT floral display in your head but if you have no accents and little details to go with it, you may find that the centerpiece is missing a little something! This happened to me yesterday! I was starting the huge task of finalizing our centerpieces and I realized they just weren’t complete.  I squinted and walked around them and stared for an extended

Oh the things I talk myself into!

  • Illusions

..that by age 22, I would realize that eating a glass full of Oat Squares (BEST CEREAL KNOWN TO MAN!) and drinking a full glass of milk is the same as eating a bowl of cereal!!!  The thing is, a BOWL of cereal sounds like a meal to me and so when I’m editing and I want something to munch on… I choose to eat cereal this way.  Why? Well, because I’ve convinced myself that if cereal isn’t in a bowl… it’s JUST a snack, not a meal and the calories are going to be much less! What an illusion!! I swear I can talk myself into anything!!! …. and I would believe it!
