Reception Lighting

before the big day and we didn’t have lighting. It wasn’t a “Must have”…. or so we thought. I knew professional lighting would be awesome but to be honest, when you’re trying to find a way to feed 400 guests, there isn’t any “extra” money laying around for “pretty” lights.  I understood that. Lighting was one of those things that I just accepted that we probably weren’t going to have.  The reception would still be beautiful and our friends and family would still have an amazing time.. lights or not. Michael and I try to take Mondays off. I normally work all day on Saturdays and he works all day Sunday… so once Monday roles around, it’s time for a break.  He is currently downstairs showing off with the Kitchen-aid mixer and making pretzels while I’m getting ready to hang curtains.  I realized our roles are somewhat reversed today but I love it. Decorating the house and trying to find a home for ALL of my clothes is challenging but it’s fun! I love living here and I can’t wait to show pictures of the newly decorated Alsop home! I especially can’t WAIT to show you the Studio! I love it! I actually have a DESK… a REAL DESK! It’s amazing!
