Lets talk about detail shots. As wedding photographers… they are expected! It’s a normal part of the wedding day process to photograph the bride’s dress, shoes, jewelry and most of all, the RINGS. However, it can be tricky to master this one specific type of detail shot because rings vary in size, shape, and cut. Every set of rings that I photograph have unique qualities that require me to take a slightly different approach in order to photograph them in a way that I love! I have little tricks that I remember to use when I photograph rings that help me to not get frustrated!
I feel like photographers who fall into one of two camps when it comes to RING SHOTS….. either you LOVE THEM or you DESPISE them.
Ring shots can either be……
Exciting or intimidating.
Fun or frustrating.
Brand elevating or value diminishing….
