• Andrew + Katie

There is something SO rewarding about your clients really GETTING what you’re trying to do with your business. The goal of my business isn’t to sell a bunch of marked up stuff and then move on to the next wedding… the goal is to form relationships with my couples and give them an amazing experience that blesses them and leaves them with awesome images of their wedding day! To me, having awesome friendships with my clients is 100x more valuable than any package price. So when we saw Andrew and Katie at Huey and Natalie’s wedding and Andrew said that he couldn’t wait to see us in a week because we felt like old friends, I melted! That’s the goal! That’s why Michael and I absolutely love doing what we do! We have the privilege of meeting the most amazing couples and then we get to celebrate their wedding day with them AND be the ones capturing precious moments! It’s quite an honor!!!

Andrew and Katie are such perfect examples of couples that we adore working with. Their energy and excitement is contagious and their love is so genuine. Their wedding day was so perfect… despite the torrential downpour that happened right as we were walking out of the door for the First Look! I told Katie, like I tell all brides, “It’s going to pass over and be totally ok!”.  Do I really know that it’s going to be ok? No. But in this case, I was right!! The storm passed just in time to give us AWESOME light and dark blue clouds. So perfect!!

Andrew and Katie were married on a family friend’s property overlooking a quaint lake. The photo opts were endless and as the toasts were wrapping up, I noticed a patch of light behind the tent and a strange MIST coming from the creek! It looked magical! I anxiously waited for the toasts to finish and then I told Andrew and Katie that if we didn’t take portraits over there, I would never forgive myself! It was just too beautiful! So they very willingly snuck out of the reception for about 15 minutes for some “glowy light” portraits and I love them for it! Katie is a photographer and so I KNOW she cares about her portraits! They turned out beautifully! Their whole DAY turned out beautifully! The random rain gave us a scare but it was nothing short of perfection.

Andrew and Katie, we just love you two! Thank you for allowing us to come all the way to the mountains of PA for your amazing wedding! We are honored that we were the ones you chose to be there! I hope you’re enjoying your awesome CRUISE on the Breakaway!! (We’re slightly jealous… ok we’re really jealous!). Enjoy reliving your day through this post!!

Ok, if you already loved Katie’s dress, you’re about to love it even more! It was custom made by one of her talented bridesmaids!!! Not only was this dress custom made but her second dress was custom made as well! Madeline Gruen you are amazing!!!

This is her grandma’s necklace and each stone represents a grandchild!

So lovely!!!

Please notice Andrews hands! I think he was excited!! :)

The light was AWESOME because of the rain!
