December 2012

  • The Snapshot

I have to give credit to my new friend Sarah who was a part of last month’s coaching session. She took this picture of me and I think it’s hilarious because that’s how I feel today!! It’s a good day but gosh, how in the world am I going to get all of my STUFF done!!! ah!! This is the down season… but lets face it, the “down” season is when you have to prepare for the busy season. The BIG projects that have been left undone for WAY too long need to get accomplished on weeks like these!! Ahem*…. the BRIDAL GUIDE. You guys probably think that the “Bridal Guide” project is just something  I’m making up because it’s literally been in the works for what?

Shooting Accessories

  • Ask Anything

TEAL….. it’s kinda obvious around here. And I love jewelry! So naturally, I really love TEAL JEWELRY! I have more teal necklaces than I do pairs of socks…. I think that’s actually true! It’s obsessive but I do wear them daily! Jewelry and accessories are a girl’s best friend if you can’t afford diamonds. Please, who needs diamonds when you can get a knockoff bubble necklace from ebay?! Accessories “make” the outfit and complete the “look”.  So when I’m shooting a bride and groom, I make a point to shoot the details. Boutonniere, bouquet, necklace, dress detail, earrings etc, etc.

Fall Retreat 2012

  • 24 Hrs in the Middle of Nowhere

hanging out in the middle of nowhere Virginia with no cell service and 40 teenagers doesn’t sound like a dream weekend… but Michael and I love it. Maybe we just love these kids (which we do) … or maybe we like youth group retreats because we grew up with them… or maybe it’s a combination of the two! …. It’s most definitely a combination:) We’ve spent two plus years getting to know these kids and they are a huge part of our lives. When I’m not working or doing family stuff…. we’re with them. This is where a large chunk of our free time is spent and we wouldn’t have it any other way.
