A Downtown Charlottesville Engagement Shoot

  • Ian + Jennifer | Engaged

couple has their own story. For Ian and Jenny, they would probably say that their current story consists of of a lot of TRAVELING! They are living in Colorado and are planning a wedding in West Virginia! Their wedding day will be celebrated at Jenny’s family’s farm and I cannot WAIT to be a part of it! As we walked around the streets of Charlottesville’s downtown mall, we talked about the planning and all that they were accomplishing on this visit home. I can’t believe I thought it was hard to plan MY wedding! …. They are doing all of this long distance! It’s quite impressive! Ian and Jenny have a shared love for travel.

pulled up in a shiny Chrysler 300 and I told Michael “Wow, they lucked out with a cool rental car!!”. Ashlie and Johnna got out of the car and I greeted them and then stated what I thought was the obvious “Nice rental car!”. Ashlie laughed and said of this isn’t a rental, this is mine!” I replied with “Umm, but aren’t you from TEXAS?!”. They laughed and told me that Johnna was from Texas and Ashlie was from Missouri and they DROVE HERE!!!!!!! Yes, they DROVE to Virginia from half a country away. They were so impressed with the mountains that they crossed in Charlottesville because they are from the plains.

A Canal Walk Engagement Shoot | Richmond Va Wedding Photographer

  • Matt + Tara | Engaged

remember being a senior in college and watching the new freshmen come in and feeling old. College happened in a flash!! One day I was a new freshman and then before I knew it, it was time to graduate! Tara was one of the underclassmen that made me feel old :) And to make me feel even older, she just graduated with a really fun class at CNU. I remember when they all arrived as freshmen and now it’s CRAZY that some of them are getting MARRIED! I was so excited to receive an email from Tara after seeing that Matt had proposed because I knew that their wedding is going to be so much fun! Michael and I love CNU weddings!!
