He’s an amazing guy… and I’m not just saying that because he’s my brother… even though I am VERY biased. Anyone who knows Corey would tell you that he’s a good kid. He’s just got his head on straight and loves his family and most importantly, he loves the Lord.  He’s passionate about things and when he gets his mind set on something… it’s SET. For instance, when he was reallly into his golfing phase, he built a putting green INTO HIS BEDROOM FLOOR and built a golf course in the field in front of our house (sand trap and all). When he first started getting into 4-wheeling, he wanted to be able to ride through the woods behind our house to get to his best friends’ house… but there was a creek in the way… so he built a BRIDGE. And then when he started loving those crazy remote controlled airplanes… after a few crashes, he decided to step it up a notch and start flying REAL PLANES! Ah!! Well he is just a few steps away from receiving his official pilots license and we couldn’t be more proud of him! Now, he can be goofy at times and I’ll never forget those years when he was super clumsy and fell/tripped over EVERYTHING in his path (we all have those clumsy phases Corey, don’t worry:)…. but he’s grown up so much the last few years.  I used to talk about him to my roommates at college and tell them about all that he’s doing.  I had a bad habit of talking about him and saying “aww.. Coreyyyyy. Such a little man!”.  Well that’s not really approriate anymore because he is a man. He’s mature and he’s respectable and he’s the best brother any girl could ask for. He makes Emy and I so proud and we love him so much. I can’t believe it’s his senior year and he’s heading to college in the fall. It’s going to be a big change for our family and I’m not sure how I feel about it yet. But like momma says, if we weren’t growing up and moving along in life… something would be wrong! So we just have to embrace the fact that Corey is about to enter a new phase in life and be thankful that he isn’t going to college thousands of miles away!!

So Buddy, I love ya. Michael and I are so proud of you and all that you’re doing. You’re going to continue to do amazing things and I can’t wait to watch your college years unfold!!! God has big things in store for you! Whether you’re flying in the coast guard or the pilot of a medi-vac helicopter…I know it’s going to be fun telling people what my brother is up to years from now!
