As we left our house at 7am, I could feel the nerves coming on. I always get that way on weddings days. Photographers ask me if I still get nervous after shooting over 100 weddings and the answer is definitely YES…. especially when I’m shooting other photographer’s weddings! I remember squealing when I received my first email from Natalie! I was honored…. SO honored.. and I have been looking forward to this day ever since!! I knew it would be beautiful but I also knew that this day would be filled with SO much love and joy! Natalie and Huey have been together since high school and their love for one another has been growing for years. This day has been anticipated for so long and as the day went on, family and friends shared sweet stories and toasted to their love.
The whole day was just lovely. From the minute we pulled up, I was in awe of Huey’s parent’s home on the water. This was the perfect venue for them. It was relaxed but so classy and elegant at the same time. As the girls got ready, Natalie just kept saying “This is perfect… it’s just SO perfect”…. and she was right and her excitement only grew throughout the day. Natalie is one of those girls that the more you’re around her, the more you love her. You know what I mean. We’ve all met people like that. The more time I spend around this amazing girl, the more I just adore her and the same with Huey! Michael and I left their reception with aching feet and full hearts! It was almost sad to say goodbye to these sweet friends because I didn’t want our time together to end. I thank God for clients like these two. They warmed our hearts and we feel so blessed to have been a part of their wedding day. I jokingly told Josh Gooden while we were shooting that I just wanted to clone Nat and Huey and he agreed! :) Their wedding day was definitely a highlight of this wedding season and I’m beyond excited to share the story of their day through images!!
