The term “DIY Wedding” has so many meanings in today’s wedding industry. I planned my own DIY wedding and it was elaborate and slightly over the top because I just couldn’t stop the ideas!! There are other types of DIY weddings that can be a bit stressful because the bride put all of the pressure and responsibility on herself and didn’t let anyone help. Thankfully, Lauren didn’t fall into either of these categories!! The BEST type of DIY wedding is a wedding where the bride has the perfect amount of professional help and the most amazing personal touches throughout the ENTIRE day! From the handmade “Bubbly Bar” in the girl’s getting ready room to the INCREDIBLE two story framed backdrop for the ceremony, it was a jaw dropping day!
The amount of thought and time that went into this wedding was just amazing!! Zane and Lauren have known each other for a lifetime. They have been together for ten years! Michael and I can relate! When you date for that long, your wedding day has been a long time coming! The friends and family that surrounded these two couldn’t have been happier for them! It felt like we were with old friends throughout the entire day and their families were so warm and welcoming.
At weddings, it’s so much fun for Michael and I to see their family dynamic roll out throughout the day. I loved Zane and Lauren from their engagement session but then I fell more in love with them after I met their parents…and after I got to know their sisters…and after I got to see grandma breaking it down on the dance floor! It’s such an honor to be a part of celebrations like this! What an amazing job we have! Enjoy the story of Zane and Lauren’s wedding day in images!
