We don’t have cousins. My mom’s brother doesn’t have kids and my dad is an only child. We have second cousins who we adore but we never had the experience of living everyday life with cousins like most people do. So, we created our own!! We had several families from our home church who we were really close with and all of the kids decided at some point that we were all pretty much related!
This worked out well until Michael and I decided to start dating in high school. That was interesting. :) So needless to say, these family friends have been like actual family for a very very long time. Gayle, Bobbi, Jan, Laura, etc… they were the ones that threw our bridal showers, helped with engagement parties and were huge parts of our weddings overall! It was no different for Sean and Corinne’s wedding!
The “sparta” crew was all present and it was so much fun to see everyone! Corinne got into her dress at my parent’s house and so we started the day there! It was fun to shoot details while our moms were fixing brunch for the bridesmaids in the next room over! The only issue we had was that Bokeh kept trying to include himself in the dress shot! :) We left momma and daddy’s house and headed two minutes down the road to Corinne’s grandma’s farm that her dad and family members recently TRANSFORMED into a wedding venue! It was perfect for them!
They were married overlooking the pond and then celebrated the night away on the rest of Grandma Beale’s property! Dinner was served via food trucks and dessert came from Mister Softee! It was amazing! One thing I love about all of these Beale Girl’s wedding is that they are so different. Anna had a plantation style wedding over 5 years ago, Katie had an intimate wedding in Maine and Corinne got married in Grandma’s backyard with Food Trucks for dinner! It’s always an honor to be the one that gets to capture Momma Jan crying when each girl gets into her dress and I even love being the one that has to fight Frank Beale for a smile during family formals!
These are “our people” and we love them dearly! Daddy did a part of the ceremony and had us all in tears. What a beautiful thing to witness the youngest Beale get married to such an amazing man! Sean, we love you and we’re so excited that you’re a part of the family!!!! :)
