Cate’s sister Cary emailed me as soon as the engagement was official! She wanted to ask about dates for this fall and my heart sank because I knew we probably weren’t available. I love short engagements but not when it means that I can’t be a part of the wedding because of a scheduling conflict! Well, thankfully they were looking at a Sunday in October and we were AVAILABLE! It’s a miracle!
Ever since photographing Clint and Cary’s wedding on the coast of St.John’s island, I have loved this sweet family! When you spend a whole wedding day with only 12 other family members on a tropical island, you really get some quality time with your couple! I met Cate back then and I’m so honored to now be a part of HER wedding!!
Dominick and Cate are getting married at the gorgeous Pippin Hill this fall and we couldn’t be more excited for their big day! This family is becoming known for their ability to create stress-free weddings! Dom and Cate just want to have a nice celebration with friends and family but without all of the fuss…..and I couldn’t agree more! They are enjoying a short engagement and before you know it, you’ll be seeing their WEDDING pictures right here on the blog!!
One of my favorite parts of this session was the fact that we started in the backyard of their first home! We played with the pups and took pictures of the four of them in their natural habitat! :) This is where they live life, entertain friends and spend the weekends together… it’s only appropriate that we took some of their engagement pictures here! So enjoy this “First home” engagement shoot and get excited for their WEDDING! Ps. If you love rescues and you love huskies, you’re going to LOVE their pups!!!
Dom built this patio by himself!!
Loved these pups!
Not sure WHAT was about to happen here but it’s cute! :)
My favorite!
Oh I can’t WAIT for the wedding you guys!!!!
Oh I love this one too!

Vision casting in marriage is hard because it brings up deeper fears, beliefs, and unspoken dynamics that many couples don’t even realize are at play.
Success—it’s a word we hear all the time. But what does it really mean? Is it about financial security? Status? Owning a dream home or taking extravagant vacations?
When you think about your business, do you see it as simply a job—or something more?
Today, I’m diving into an experience that was nothing like I anticipated: my digital detox in December. If you’ve ever considered taking a break from the noise of the online world, you might relate to my journey—the good, the surprising, and the, well, completely unplanned.
The wedding industry has faced unique challenges recently, with inflation affecting budgets and couples cutting costs. If you’re a wedding photographer feeling the pinch, don’t worry—2025 doesn’t have to be a slow year.
Life has a way of surprising us, doesn’t it? Over the last few months, I’ve been on a medical rollercoaster that I never saw coming.
